Alfred Thompson, a member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Communications Team, urged Ghanaians to address the fight against illegal mining (galamsey) without political bias.
Speaking on The Big Issue on September 14, he emphasized that galamsey affects all citizens, regardless of political affiliation, and called for a unified national effort to restore damaged lands and polluted water.
He highlighted the government's commitment, including President Akufo-Addo’s pledge to fight galamsey and the establishment of a committee to tackle the issue swiftly.
