The Upper West Regional Football Association has hosted the first batch of license D coaching course in the region. The course is aimed at improving the quality of coaching and the development of talents in the region.
The course, organized in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association(GFA) will take 62 aspiring coaches from various football clubs in the region through the training.
The participants will be taken through theoretical and practical training sessions during the course.
The coaching course covers growth and development of young players, methods of coaching as well as cardiovascular resuscitation and administration of first aid.
The course will be facilitated by experienced and qualified instructors from the GFA, who will provide valuable guidance and insight to the participants as they will commence the journey of becoming football coaches.
The Communication Officer of the UW RFA, Naa Sulemana, on behalf of the Association chairman urges the participants to pay keen attention to whatever they will be taken through in the course of the training as it provides them the opportunity to harness and develop football talents in the region.
Overall, the first batch of license D coaching has officially opened in Wa from 7th to 15th August, 2023, and the second batch will follow suit in the following week.
