Oliver Barker-Vormawor, Convener of the Democracy Hub, has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges after his arrest during protests against the government's handling of illegal mining, known as "galamsey."
He faces allegations including conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and assault on a public officer.
Although he was absent from court on September 25 due to illness, he appeared on September 26 to enter his plea.
Meanwhile, 45 other protesters remain in custody for 14 days, with their legal team accusing the police of mistreating those detained and denying them access to legal services.
