GRIDCo and ECG apologise for power outages amid gas supply shortage

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have explained recent power disruptions across the country, attributing the issue to gas supply challenges at the Ghana National Gas Company's Atuabo plant.

This has impacted power generation.

In a joint statement, they apologized for the inconvenience and assured the public that engineers are working to restore normal gas supply.

They urged patience as efforts continue to resolve the problem.

ECG also announced a scheduled maintenance in parts of Accra on Thursday, September 26.
