‘Nobody is more lawless than Police Service’- Lawyer for arrested protesters calls out police tactics

Prince Ganaku, counsel for 46 anti-galamsey protesters arrested recently, has accused the Ghana Police Service of violating the protesters' rights and acting in bad faith.

Speaking on Joy News, Ganaku criticized the police for securing an injunction just days before the protest despite prior notice.

He also condemned the police for obstructing legal access and abusing their power, claiming they act above the law.

Ganaku further expressed concern about the complicity of the courts, arguing that the arrest and denial of bail were tactics to discourage activism and suppress dissent.
