Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, has expressed concern over the impact of corruption in Ghana, saying it has denied citizens true peace and unity.

Speaking at an ‘Anti-corruption Day’ event during the 2024 Yam Festival in Ho, he noted that corruption has eroded trust and promoted tribal divisions, affecting national development.

He described Ghana’s democracy as benefiting only a few and likened the country to an "orphan child being exploited."

Togbe Afede called on all Ghanaians to join the fight against corruption to restore the nation's integrity and progress.
