President Emmerson Mnangagwa has arrived in Durban, South Africa to attend the Inter Africa Trade Fair (IATF) that seeks to enhance the continent’s economic integration.

Industry and Commerce Minister Sekai Nzenza, her deputy Raj Modi, and South African senior government officials welcomed the President at the Shaka Zulu International Airport.

Accompanying the President is Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Dr Frederick Shava and senior government officials.

More than 36 Zimbabweans are exhibiting at the Fair, which ends on Sunday.

Deals worth US$40 billion are set to be sealed at the business summit that is being attended by top African business leaders like the continent’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.

The IATF is part of the implementation of the newly formed African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTA) which seeks to create a single market for goods and services across the continent’s 55 countries.

AfCTA presents African companies and entrepreneurs with an opportunity to access an integrated African market of over 1, 2 billion people with a GDP of over US $2, 5 trillion.
