Akufo-Addo approves Saglemi Housing Project negotiations framework

President Akufo-Addo has approved a framework for negotiations with the successful bidder(s) for completing the Saglemi Housing Project.

The project, originally planned for 5,000 units, stalled after only 1,506 units were partially completed due to a lack of infrastructure.

The new plan treats the completed work as the government’s equity, while the private partner's contribution to finishing the project will be their equity in a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV).

Proceeds from house sales will be shared based on stakes in the SPV.
