Speaking on Joy News, Vanderpuye blamed the government's neglect of local governance, particularly in disbursing funds from stool lands, royalties, and the District Assemblies Common Fund.
He argued that the central government often ignores legal obligations, hindering local development.
Vanderpuye urged the government to adhere to legal mandates, comparing Ghana unfavorably with Kenya, where district allocations are consistently honored.
