‘Poor roads crippling our business’ – Onion traders at Adjen Kotoku cry for help

Adjen Kotoku's onion traders urgently appeal to the government for improvements to the road leading to their new market.

After relocating from Agbogbloshie three years ago, traders have faced numerous challenges, including deteriorating road conditions, low customer turnout, and insufficient infrastructure.

These issues have led some to return to their previous location.

Alhaji Masa Wudu, Chairman of the Onion Sellers Association, highlights the struggles of poor road conditions, lack of basic amenities, and rising onion prices due to transport delays.

Despite the move being intended to revitalize their business, the relocation has not met expectations, leaving traders to grapple with worsening conditions and food inflation.
