Virgin Atlantic will resume daily flights between Accra and London Heathrow starting May 1, 2025, marking its first operation on this route since 2013.
The airline aims to enhance competition and offer more travel options for passengers, especially given the significant Ghanaian diaspora in the UK.
The service will use Airbus A330-300 and A330-900neo aircraft, featuring various cabin classes and an onboard social space.
Each flight will also have 30 tonnes of cargo capacity.
Virgin Atlantic's Chief Commercial Officer, Juha Jarvinen, highlighted the importance of this route in connecting the Ghanaian community and expanding travel choices.
