The Peasant Farmers Association has expressed dissatisfaction with the government's recent ban on exporting grains like maize, rice, and soybeans.
The ban, announced by Agriculture Minister Bryan Acheampong, aims to ensure food security amid a severe dry spell affecting eight regions.
However, the Association's President, Bismark Owusu Nortey, criticized the government for not consulting farmers before making the decision.
He argued that the ban could force farmers to sell their produce at lower prices due to limited market options, potentially harming their livelihoods.
