District Chief Executive (DCE) Peter Mensah has revealed that the government’s flagship programme of One-District-One-Factory (1D1F) in the Techiman North District of the Bono East region will not only address youth unemployment but insecurity in the area.

According to him, the area is benefiting from three of such projects and has rallied the support of residents in the realization of the dream of these projects in order to succeed.

This he noted is in line with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s vision to transform Ghana’s economy through industrialisation by creating jobs for the teeming masses.

Peter Mensah who toured project sites to see the level of work done, observed that the establishment of a poultry feed processing factory under the Kingdom EXIM group of companies, a vegetable processing plant and cold rooms for the processing of Onion, tomato, pepper and the revival of a defunct cashew processing plant by Ghana Nuts Company which would be into Shea, cashew nut and soya bean processing when completed would provide jobs to the teeming unemployed youth of the area.

District Chief Executive is optimistic that the 3 factories would be in operation by the close of the year, stating that they will add value to the local economy, raise the Assembly’s revenue as well as improve the area’s security.

“In entering here, I must say that I am so surprised and overwhelmed with what has been done within this short space of time and this is an indication that these projects would be completed on time”. Mr. Peter Mensah said.

He was full of praise to the investors Mr. James Gnanaraj Rajamani, Immanuel Paul Raj Rajamani both of Big Stars animal feeds, a subsidiary of Kingdom EXIM group and Mr. Obed Asante of the Ghana Nuts limited for their commitments towards bringing development to the area.
