Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has called on political parties to work with the police to ensure peaceful and incident-free elections in 2024.
During a meeting with party representatives in Accra on November 21, Dr. Dampare assured that the police are prepared to maintain law and order throughout the election period.
However, he emphasized the need for support from all stakeholders, including political parties.
He advised party representatives to plan not only for potential victory but also for handling defeat, stressing that only one party can win.
He concluded, "As long as everybody plays their role, Ghana will win."
