3 dead, 15 injured in ghastly accident at Winneba Junction

A tragic accident at Tailer Junction near Winneba in the Central Region left three people dead and 15 seriously injured.

The collision occurred when a Toyota Vitz, attempting to overtake a tricycle, crashed into a Toyota Hiace passenger vehicle traveling from Accra to Obuasi.

Both vehicles veered off the road into a ditch.

Winneba Fire Service Commander Fredrick Adu-Poku confirmed that one man and two women died at the scene, while the injured were taken to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital. He urged drivers to be extra cautious during the festive season to prevent more accidents.
