Thirty-two protesters from the Democracy Hub have sued the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Attorney General, citing human rights violations during their arrest.
Represented by Madina MP Francis-Xavier Sosu, they seek a High Court order to enforce their rights, including freedom of movement, the right to protest, and protection against arbitrary arrest and detention.
The protesters were among 53 arrested during a peaceful demonstration on September 21-23, which turned violent.
Nine remain in prison, while others are in police custody.
A bail request was denied, and the protesters are remanded until October 8.
