A cholera anywhere is a cholera everywhere – Ghana Health Service cautions

The Ghana Health Service is urging the public to maintain good hygiene practices amid a rapid increase in cholera cases across the country.

The Awutu Senya East Municipal Health Directorate has reported 30 cases and 5 deaths in recent days, with the situation expected to worsen before it improves.

Ada East and West districts are identified as hot spots for the disease.

The Health Service is enhancing awareness campaigns through social media, emphasizing that cholera can spread quickly. They plan to release an update on the cholera situation soon, reinforcing the message that cholera anywhere is cholera everywhere.
