Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Abu Jinapor, has donated different quantities of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and 50 pieces of anti-snake venom to the Damongo District Hospital, in Damongo.
These items were presented, on behalf of the Deputy Chief of Staff, by the MCE for West Gonja District, Muhazu Saeed Jegede, the Damongo Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Braimah Adam and other constituency officers.
In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, PPE has become a major requirement in the country’s battle to defeat this virus. Happily, Savannah Region, with Damongo as it’s capital, has not recorded a confirmed case of COVID-19.
However, Mr. Jinapor, who doubles as the Parliamentary Candidate for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Damongo Constituency, made the donation to enhance the preparedness of the district hospital, as well as to protect health workers and the population.
The Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Saadaari Anlaangmen Vitalis, in his remarks, thanked Mr. Jinapor for assisting the district hospital.
