John Jinapor, MP for Yapei Kusawgu, has criticized NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for focusing on debates instead of addressing the cedi's depreciation and rising fuel prices.
Jinapor attributed the economic issues to the ineffective gold-for-oil policy, causing financial loss and failing to stabilize the currency.
He emphasized that the Bank of Ghana is struggling, with the cedi's depreciation, increased fuel prices, and stagnant wages exacerbating the cost of living.
Jinapor urged Bawumia to prioritize managing the economy and addressing these issues over calling for debates ahead of the December elections.
