Afenyo-Markin accused JoyNews of "mischief and misinformation" after it reported on the Speaker of Parliament’s declaration of four vacant seats.
UPDN defended the station’s reporting as factual and emphasized that attempts to silence independent journalism undermine democracy.
The group urged public figures to respect the media's role in holding power accountable.
