President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has congratulated Mfantsipim School for winning the 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), calling their victory "well deserved."
In a Facebook post, he praised the students for their hard work, marking their first win since 2014 after a decade-long wait. Mfantsipim secured the title with 47 points, followed closely by St. Augustine’s College with 46 points and Keta SHTS with 33 points.
The winners received gold medals and a cash prize of GHS 70,000, while the runners-up also received cash prizes.
The NSMQ promotes interest in science and mathematics among Ghanaian students.
