Former Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Inusah Fuseini, has described President Nana Akufo-Addo’s performance in his encounter with the media as substandard.
According to him, Nana Akufo-Addo was “very disappointing and did not meet the mark of presidential press conferences or presidential press encounters that we have witnessed”.
The president met with journalists at the Flagstaff House on Wednesday, 17 January, 2018 to account for his stewardship after one year in office but Mr Fuseini holds the view that Wednesday’s interaction “clearly did not meet the mark, last year’s July performance was even better than this year’s performance”.
He said on Class FM's 505 news programme in an interview with Jonas Ofori Yeboah that the president only regurgitated old propaganda that was used during campaign for the 2016 elections. He pointed out that Nana Akufo-Addo “spewed half-truths” and simply ignored “certain facts and questions” as “he was not on top of the issues”.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central said it is not true that the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration single-sourced 622 contracts.
He further criticised government and called on the president to tell Ghanaians the amount of power that the current administration has generated or added to the national grid to support claims that they have stabilised power after taking office.
