Alajo North Assembly Member inspires 2021 BECE candidates

ASSEMBLY MEMBER FOR ALAJO NORTH INSPIRES 2021 BECE CANDIDATES AHEAD OF EXAMS

Final year students of the Alajo 1&2 Basic school in the Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly, have been urged to avoid all forms of anti social activities that would curtail their ambition to achieve higher education as they go into the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Assemblyman for the Alajo North Electoral Area, Hon Ibrahim Halidu who visited the school on Friday, September 17, 2021, inspired the students to put in their best so they could make good grades to help them gain admission to some of the good Senior High schools in the country.

According to him, they could only achieve that if they take their books serious as they prepare for the BECE in November, this year.

Halidu, who also doubled as the Education, Youth and Sports Sub Committee Chairman of the Municipality stated that, “it is through education that you will become self-reliant and participate in improving the wellbeing of your communities.”

Currently, Hon Halidu who has been with the people on every developmental issue is organizing a free extra classes for the final year students in the Alajo North Electoral Area.

Notwithstanding, he stressed that education remained the only means by which they could achieve their future aspirations and effectively contribute their quota to national development.

While encouraging the candidates to go into the exams with all what they studied over the years, Mr Halidu reminded them to remain respectful to their teachers and parents to achieve higher in live.

He said parents and guardians also have the fundamental duty to morally train their children to become assets to society and called urged them to discharge their duty to ensure that the candidates do not use the last minute days in basic schools to misbehave at the detriment of their studies.

He stated that education was the only legacy to bequeath the children, which would broaden their horizon and accelerate the pace of development.

The assemblyman reiterated his commitment to lobby for comprehensive policy, which would empower the youth to develop their talents and enhance their welfare as future leaders.
