Alajo residents save man washed away by flood

Residents of Alajo-Accra united to rescue a young man who was drowning in a large drain after heavy rainfall caused severe flooding today.

The man slipped and fell into the rushing floodwaters while attempting to cross the drainage.

Struggling to stay afloat, he attracted the attention of some residents who quickly called for help.

Three men jumped into the water to rescue him, initially appearing unsuccessful.

However, with the combined efforts of other bystanders, they eventually managed to retrieve both the drowning man and the three rescuers, ensuring everyone's safety.
