Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, the Movement for Change’s Presidential Candidate, has introduced a "Greater Accra Regeneration Initiative" (GARI) focused on transforming Accra into a top-five African city by 2030.
The 15-point plan aims to tackle major urban issues, including transportation, traffic management, waste disposal, and Central Business District congestion.
Speaking during his Greater Accra tour, Kyerematen outlined the initiative as part of his party’s Great Transformational Plan (GTP), emphasizing a coordinated approach to revamp existing government and donor-backed projects for Accra’s development.
