Godfred Yeboah Dame
Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame has released plea bargain letters from Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the ambulance purchase case, following Jakpa's court claim that Dame sought his help to implicate Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
Forson, a former Deputy Finance Minister and current Minority Leader, is facing charges over the procurement of faulty ambulances.
Dame denied Jakpa's allegations, stating that Jakpa had instead sent several plea bargain requests, dated April to June 2023, which have not been accepted.
He emphasized that the Attorney-General's office has not engaged Jakpa to provide false testimony, despite plea bargaining being legally permissible.
