Dr. Bossman Asare, Deputy Chairman of the Electoral Commission (EC), has stated that the Commission has not yet received the official copy of the Sekondi High Court ruling allowing Joana Gyan Cudjoe to contest in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
He emphasized that the EC will act only once it receives the formal documents, as it is committed to following the law.
However, Dr. Tanko Rashid Computer, Deputy National Elections Director of the NDC, expressed surprise, claiming he personally handed over the court ruling to Dr. Asare and Mr. Samuel Tettey on Nov. 13.
He also mentioned that the EC had already ordered new ballot papers, including Cudjoe’s name.
