Amenfi East NPP Parliamentary Candidate denies inciting illegal miners against military

Ernest Frimpong, NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Amenfi East, has denied allegations that he and Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah endorsed illegal mining and encouraged resistance against military personnel.

A video showed Frimpong urging miners to attack police and soldiers who extort money, but he claims his words were taken out of context.

He stated that he and the Regional Minister emphasized responsible mining practices, warned against mining in prohibited areas, and encouraged miners to report extortion and harassment.

Frimpong denied encouraging illegal activities and called the allegations "inaccurately represented" and "misrepresented."
