Anas Aremeyaw Anas has petitioned some state institutions to investigate and punish former Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi, for alleged breach of the criminal laws of Ghana including offences related to corruption and money laundering.
The petition has been sent to the Attorney General (AG) and Minister of Justice, the Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), the Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) and the Executive Director of the Economic & Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
Anas recently aired his video documentary which exposed gross graft within the GFA characterised by widespread fraud, corruption and bribery. Mr Nyantakyi was caught on camera engaging in shady deals.
Mr Nyantakyi has subsequently resigned from the GFA and serving a ban imposed on him by FIFA.
The government has also taken steps to purge the GFA and restore trust in football.
