One person is feared dead after the team bus of Asante Kotoko was involved in an accident near Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region.
The team was returning to Kumasi after a narrow 0-1 loss to Inter Allies in midweek. It is unclear what may have caused the accident but reports say the bus rammed into a parked truck.
Emergency medical officers are at the scene to rescue injured survivors including head coach Steve Polack and his assistant, Godwin Ablordey.
Most of the injured are receiving treatment at the Holy Family Hospital, 3news.com gathers.
Supporters have been urged to stay calm as rescue efforts continues.
In a tweet a few moments after the accident, the club said an official statement will be issued by way of filling all and sundry in on the circumstances that led to the crash.
