Professor Agyeman Badu Akosa has warned that communal eating from one bowl can spread Hepatitis B, as saliva can mix with soupy foods like fufu or omo tuo.
Speaking at a health discussion in Accra, he highlighted the risk of sharing saliva through hand-to-mouth contact while eating in groups.
Prof. Akosa emphasized on the need for awareness to prevent the spread of Hepatitis B, urging healthier eating practices.
The discussion, part of the Graphic National Dialogue Series, aims to promote quality health for all, featuring insights from health experts including Prof. Aaron Abuosi.
