The Senior Manager of the Bank, Mr.. David King Gbegbleu, advised cocoa purchasing clerks not to pay cash to farmers but rather issue them with Akuafo Cheques. This practice, he said, aids the farmers to dodge repayment of loans to their Banks. Mr.. King Gbegbleu asked farmers to pay back loans given them so that others can benefit.
