Bagbin must respect Supreme Court ruling – Afenyo-Markin

Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has urged the Minority in Parliament to pursue legal action if they believe their case regarding the recent parliamentary dispute holds merit.

This statement follows the Supreme Court's decision to stay Speaker Alban Bagbin’s ruling, which declared the seats of four MPs vacant for allegedly breaching constitutional provisions by seeking independent candidacy.

Afenyo-Markin expressed satisfaction with the court's ruling, asserting it reinforces the MPs' rights and democratic representation.

He emphasized the need for respect for the law and challenged the Minority to engage in legal discourse instead of political chaos.
