Social Commentator with strong align to the NDC, Bernard Allotey Jacobs has commended Dr Ernest Addison, Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) for bringing sanity into the banking sector.
The former Central Regional Chairman of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) was reacting to the latest shutdown of 23 Savings and Loans Companies by the BoG.
Even though he believes BoG has done a good job, he has asked for some heads to roll at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
"Heads must roll and the law has to take its course. This country won’t grow if we keep listening to people’s plea and so on. I am now supporting the Bank of Ghana, but SEC didn’t also play their supervisory role well," he stated during a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Wednesday.
