Bawumia: Police must uphold Democratic gains in upcoming elections

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer, has urged the Ghana Police Service to ensure a violence-free election in December, emphasizing the need to consolidate Ghana’s democratic gains.

Speaking at the Police CID Headquarters, he highlighted the importance of the Police’s role and commended the ‘Snatch Them Young’ initiative.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo appointed COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations, recognizing his exceptional credentials and dedication.

The President extended his congratulations and wished COP Yohuno success in his new role.
