A new poll released on Thursday, November 21, 2024, by Professor Smart Sarpong of Kumasi Technical University shows Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia leading the presidential race with 49.1%, ahead of his closest rival, John Mahama of the NDC, who has 45.8%.
Nana Kwame Bediako is predicted to secure 2.2%, while John Alan Kyeremateng trails with 1.2%.
The poll, based on responses from 99,355 participants across 4,272 communities, indicates Bawumia's strength in regions like Ahafo, Ashanti, and Bono.
It also projects the NPP to win at least 148 seats in Parliament, with 56 constituencies being highly competitive.
The poll suggests a potential first-round victory for Bawumia, urging parties to consolidate their support ahead of the election.
