Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said state institutions across the country should expect more surprise visits from him as part of his efforts to learn their concerns and improve efficiency.
This follows an unannounced visit he paid to the Registrar-General’s Department on Wednesday, 18 January to identify the bottlenecks bedevilling the enterprise.
While there, he interacted with owners of businesses and ordinary Ghanaians who had gone to the department to register their businesses.
He met a lot of people at the registry who also expressed their frustrations in registering and reregistration of their establishments.
He tweeted on Thursday: “There will be many of such visits to state institutions in order to be acquainted with the efficiency of their operations.”
