A Senior Bishop of the AME Zion Church, The Right Reverend Dr Godfred Zormelo, on Friday called on the leadership of ruling NDC (National Democratic Congress) and the biggest opposition NPP (New Patriotic Party) to intensify education of their followers on political tolerance to avert acts of lawlessness before, during and after the December 28 presidential run-off.

Rev. Zormelo who was opening a four-day youth fellowship conference of the church at Gomoa-Aboso in the central region of Ghana, voiced concern about reports of clashes between supporters of the two parties in some parts of the country after the general elections. He said the success of last week's elections has won the nation great international respect which must be maintained.

Zormelo urged Ghanaians to thank the Almighty God for guiding the nation through the general election and they should continue to rely on Him for all their needs, stressing, "unless the Lord build the house the workers labour in vain". He advised all eligible voters to turn out in their numbers to exercise their franchise on December 28.
