The Bank of Ghana, in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, has shut down Dek-Nock Investments in Nungua and Ashaiman for operating without a license.
This action aligns with Section 20(2)(g) of the Banks and Specialised Deposit-taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930).
Dek-Nock Investments was found to be engaging in unauthorized deposit-taking, violating Section 6(1) of Act 930.
The police are currently investigating the company's operations.
The Bank of Ghana has urged customers to remain calm and assured the public that it will continue to clamp down on illegal deposit-taking activities to maintain financial system integrity and stability.
