The Acting Chairman of the West Volta Presbytery, Reverend S.K. Asamoah has urged Christians to be steadfast in their faith in order not t go astray in preaching the good news. Reverend Asamoah was speaking at the induction of the National Executive Committee of the Men's Fellowship of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana at Mamprobi, Accra. The theme for the occasion was. Men in the development of the church. He urged the Fellowship to play leading roles in the development of their communities. Reverend Asamoah advised Christians to assist the poor and needy, saying selfishness is against the tenets of Christianity. Rev. G.K. Akorli the Programme Officer of the Men's Desk dispelled the notion that the men's fellowship will act as a pressure group in the church. He said it will rather organise, study programmes, workshops and seminars to equip members to assume responsible roles in the church and their communities. The Chairman of the Nine member National Executive, Mr.. George Amegatse expressed his desire to see the men in the church well organised and strengthened to study the bible for their spiritual upliftment.
