Rashid Tanko-Computer, the Deputy Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has accused the ruling government of using fake news to attack their presidential candidate, John Mahama.
He claimed that false allegations against Mahama have been circulating on social media, with origins traced to the Flagstaff House.
Tanko-Computer highlighted that government officials are involved in spreading these posts across platforms like Facebook and X.
Despite complaints from the NDC, including letters to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Cyber Security Authority, he alleged that no action has been taken against those behind the fake news.
