The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has declared a nationwide strike starting November 7, citing the government's delay in implementing a new salary structure.
CLOGSAG had warned of this action after the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) missed the October 31 deadline.
Executive Secretary Isaac Bampoe Addo criticized the January 2025 implementation date as unrealistic and announced that CLOGSAG would cease engagement with FWSC's CEO Benjamin Arthur, accusing him of bad faith.
CLOGSAG members are instructed to stay home on November 7 in protest.
