National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has charged members of the party to chase out persons seeking to lead the party as flagbearer for the 2020 general elections but seek to do so by undermining others
“Let me speak to my party people those who come around and present themselves that they want to be flagbearers chase them out”, he instigated the party supporters.
“They have my authority as National Organizer to chase them out”, Mr. Kofi Adams charged supporters of the party when he spoke on Top Story on Joy FM hosted by Evans Mensah.
“Hon. Bagbin was complaining that President Mahama has hijacked the party. …President Mahama has not hijacked the party, he is a good party member”.
“Anyone who comes to you and his intention is to undermine someone, chase him out. ..You have my authority to do so”, the National Organizer repeated.
According to him, the party lost the 2016 polls to the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) not because John Mahama was a bad candidate but because of internal problems including some leading members undermining party structures.
“I know why we lost. …we lost not because we had a bad candidate”, the staunch supporter of former President and the party’s presidential candidate for the last general elections revealed.
“Anyone who goes out there to go and say that we lost the election because President Mahama was a bad candidate is peddling falsehood”.
