Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo has raised concerns about corruption within Ghana's judiciary, particularly in land litigation cases.
She revealed that some court staff manipulate land documents in favor of individuals for bribes.
Speaking at a Judicial Service event in Cape Coast, she urged staff to uphold high standards and address public perceptions of corruption.
Torkornoo also condemned the involvement of court personnel in criminal activities, such as creating fake divorce documents and fraudulent letters of administration, which deprive rightful beneficiaries and delay justice delivery, warning against such misconduct.
