The recent flooding on the Accra-Winneba highway was caused by a contractor's attempt to divert the Ayensu River, overwhelming a small bridge.
Traditional leaders suggest the incident occurred due to the contractor's failure to pour libation before the project.
Over 200 houses are submerged, but no injuries reported.
Affected residents are staying at the Church of Pentecost in Gomoa.
The contractor blocked the main bridge to build a modern structure.
The NADMO Director requests the contractor to unblock the bridge to mitigate flooding.
