The Russian Federation joined the top five import sources, replacing the UK, primarily supplying mineral fuels and oils. The Netherlands remained significant, with imports of GH₵17.3 billion in mineral fuels and oils. India surpassed the USA, becoming the fourth-largest source at GH₵11.7 billion. Diesel-automotive gas oil and light oils were the top imports.
Sea transport dominated imports at 89.1%, while exports were split between air (46.3%) and sea (46.1%), with gold transported exclusively by air and mineral fuels, oils, and cocoa beans by sea.
