Christian Service University College (CSUC) in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, has been granted a presidential charter, elevating it to a fully-fledged autonomous university.
This milestone was confirmed on May 16, 2024, after a long process which started six years ago and signifies its adherence to academic and operational standards.
Established in 1974 as a Bible college, CSUC diversified into a general university offering various programs.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Samuel Kofi Afrane highlighted the university's commitment to Christian values and quality education.
The charter allows CSUC to award its own degrees and plans to introduce new master's and doctorate programs, enhancing its academic and collaborative opportunities.
