Churches in the country cannot be blamed for the moral decadence among Ghanaian youth today, according to the founder of the Perez Chapel International, Bishop Charles Agyinasare.
“You the father or mother you go to church, then you leave your kids behind to watch television and then you go to church and your kids are misbehaving then you turn to blame the pastor”. He said.
According to the religious leader, who spoke on GHOne State of Affairs show hosted by Nana Aba Anamoah during on one-on-one interview ahead of the 35th Anniversary Celebration of the church, pastors cannot in anyway be held responsible for one’s child bad behavior.
“The pastors are there to guide but the parents are the ones to take care of their children”, Bishop Charles Agyinasare pointed out laying blame partly on the doorstep of the media.
“We live in a nation where when the pastor even talks, we say he is NDC… He is NPP….. already we have broken his authority because once you tag the pastor. I can tell you majority of the pastors are non-aligned”.
“Let’s stop the tagging and give reverence to Men of God so that they can speak. There are things pastors do but they don’t come out in the open. There are things we have done on the backside so this nation is stable” he stated.
“Pastors are men of faith. Men of faith do not talk about their problems. …they talk about what God can do so a lot of the time you hear a man of faith talking he just talks about what he sees will happen and not what is exactly happening”.
