The Chief Executive Officer of Glitz Africa and UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador, Mrs. Claudia Kwarteng Lumor, in commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) has celebrated with some persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The event which took place over the weekend, saw the Persons with Disabilities being dinned with Claudia Kwarteng Lumor, who is aspiring to become the New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary candidate for the Oforikrom Constituency.

As part of the engagement, the PWD members also received cash and other incentives from her outfit.

Speaking at the event, which was attened by chiefs and elders of the area, Claudia, said “These are people who may feel like they are less human. I am glad I have been able to listen to their needs and have positively figured out a solution to their predicaments. We can all as people do better. Companies and institutions can champion making lives better for PWDs in Oforikrom’’.

According to her, this is the only way to carry PWDs along to empower them to take advantage of opportunities for them to work together and eliminate the barriers of stigmatization and discrimination.
