Coalition of District Assembly Members alleges mismanagement and misallocation of property rate revenue

The Coalition of District Assembly Members has accused the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and Digital City Solutions (DCS) of mismanaging property rate revenues collected for local assemblies.

At a press conference in Ho, they called for an investigation by the Special Prosecutor into the collection and distribution of these funds since early 2023.

They claim GRA and DCS have failed to deposit the required 70% of collected revenues, causing financial difficulties for assemblies.

The Coalition urged for transparency and proper management of these funds to ensure effective local governance.
